Vacation 2007

Relaxing on my seaside balcony looking up at the overcast sky

Wondering what is hiding behind the blue-gray clouds floating by

On the beach below powerful ocean waves racing to the shore

It’s breathtaking Mother Nature avenging whatever the score

Two seagulls closely chasing each other high up in the clouds

Reminding my human heart to release age old held doubts

For a moment it soars free from earthly limits just like a bird

Forgetting the physical body shell taken on as an earthen shirt

Healing emotional wounds, loss of power, pleasures and joys

Results of mass manipulations converting minds into toys

My soul reaches out to my beloved ocean, earth, wind and sky

You never betrayed my trust placed in you or made me cry

The healing warm sun rays, clean air and sandy beach shore

Reminding strengthening my very essence of existence’s core

Yesterdays troubles and worries left behind for a while

Pushed into the background replaced by a broad smile

Rhythmic sounds of powerful ocean waves creating a choir

Soothing instrumentals pleasing my body and soul’s desire
